What is an Electrical Load Calculator?
An Electrical Load Calculator helps you work out how much power and energy your home or office appliances use. It adds the wattage for each device, then shows the peak load in watts, the current in amps at 230 V, the daily energy in watt-hours, and the monthly energy in kilowatt-hours. Once you know the total current, you can also verify whether your wiring can safely handle it by checking the required circuit capacity using a minimum amp rating calculator.
How to use it
- Choose a category, such as Fans and Coolers or Lights.
- For each appliance, type its power in Watt if you want to adjust the default.
- Enter the Qty (how many units you own).
- Enter Hrs / day to show how many hours the appliance runs each day. Use a value up to 24.
- Enter Days / Month to show how many days that appliance runs in one month. Use a value up to 31.
- Repeat these steps for every category you need. The totals update automatically at the top of the calculator.
